First Lady Michelle Obama Joins Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show

On Thursday night, First Lady Michelle Obama teamed up once again with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show to celebrate the anniversary of Let’s Move!. Over the past few years, Jimmy Fallon has joined in the Let’s Move! anniversary activities, helping to inspire Americans to stay active, eat healthy, and have fun.

With Mrs. Obama and Jimmy Fallon both being parents of two daughters, they had a lot to talk about. They shared tips for ensuring their girls eat their vegetables, and the First Lady highlighted an exciting new effort to help make fruits and vegetables more fun and relevant for kids. Led by the Partnership for a Healthier America, FNV uses tried and true marketing tactics to promote fruits and veggies to kids and families. The campaign brings together celebrities and athletes like Jessica Alba, Cam Newton, and Kristen Bell, among others, to help turn fruits and veggies into a big iconic brand and give America a healthy dose of advertising.

Whether it’s talking fruits and veggies or getting active, the First Lady and Fallon always find ways to have fun. Last year, they joined Will Ferrell and tried out kale chips in a classic “Ew!” skit, and two years ago, the First Lady and Fallon showcased the Evolution of Mom Dancing, incorporating classic dance moves of moms from coast to coast.

This year, as part of the fifth anniversary of Let’s Move! and the #GimmeFive challenge, Mrs. Obama challenged Fallon to share five new mom dances. He was definitely up for the challenge!

Don’t miss their performance of the Evolution of Mom Dancing, Part 2:

After completing his challenge, Fallon passed on the challenge to all moms across the country to share their mom dances on social media using #MomDance and #GimmeFive. We can’t wait to see what all the moms out there come up with!

And for anyone else who hasn’t gotten involved in the #GimmeFive challenge yet, now is your chance to share five things you’re doing to lead a healthier life. If you’re looking for inspiration, be sure to check out the #GimmeFive dance.
