White House Spring Garden Tours are Back

As part of the annual Spring Garden Tours, the White House will open the South Lawn this weekend on Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17 for visitors to check out the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, the Rose Garden, and Let’s Move!’s favorite, the White House Kitchen Garden.

Just last week, the First Lady was joined by students from across the country and NASA representatives to plant the White House Kitchen Garden for the eighth year in a row. This weekend, you can come check it out for yourself and get an up close look and the variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs grown in the garden. Don’t forget to follow the White House Kitchen Garden on Instagram at @WHKitchenGarden for updates and to watch the garden as it grows throughout the year.

This event is free and open to the public; however, a ticket is required for all attendees. The National Park Service will distribute free, timed tickets at the Ellipse Visitor Pavilion located near 15th and E Streets NW on Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17 beginning at 9:00 am. The tickets will be distributed – one ticket per person – on a first-come, first-served basis. Garden tours will take place Saturday, April 16 from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm ET, and Sunday, April 17 from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm ET. Click here for additional information about the spring garden tours.

We hope you are able to join on what looks to be a beautiful weekend! Follow along online and share your visit with #WHGarden.
