Day of Dignity with Islamic Relief USA
In the spirit of Ramadan, Islamic relief hosts Day of Dignity, where communities around the country come together to provide services to individuals in need and promote their well-being, including that of the homeless. Ramadan is the holiest month on the Islamic calendar. It is a month of giving, compassion, and charity.
Day of Dignity is a grass-roots effort coordinated by Islamic Relief and Islamic Relief volunteers who distribute healthy food, toys, clothing, and provide health screenings. Day of Dignity creates an opportunity for caring individuals from diverse communities to provide services to their neighbors in need. Every year more than 20,000 homeless and underserved people, particularly children and families, are served through Day of Dignity events across the nation during the summer and into the fall months.
